Women’s and Gender Studies Presents a Night of Poetry and Art inspired by Grounded in Grain, Washed in the Water. The event will feature poetry by Matty Glasgow, Marcus Amaker, and A$iahMae amid the artwork of Maya Freelon in the Senator McKinley Washington, Jr. Auditorium. christa david’s work is on view in the Benjamin F. Cox and Jeannette K. Cox gallery, which adjoins the Senator McKinley Washington Jr. Auditorium on the third floor. Join us to take in the exhibition and poetry, as well as enjoy light refreshments. 

The event will take place at the Avery Research Center for African American History and Culture in the Senator McKinley Washington Auditorium, third floor, at 125 Bull Street. Accessible by elevator. Street parking is available on Bull Street.
